Urban Ministry

Living in these communities allows our staff to fulfill our mission to love, disciple, and empower youth but on a daily basis, meeting them exactly where they are and embracing their culture by being part of their community, not being strangers to what they face in their daily lives.

In each neighborhood pick up soccer is hosted twice a week, to provide a space where everyone can join to have a good time playing the sport we love regardless of level or age, allowing us to build relationships and share our faith from a different platform.

The Lexington Eagles’ block parties are special times throughout the year, especially during the summer, where kids and their families come together to not only play soccer but have a lot fun playing other games and challenges, enjoy some food and worship together while also hearing about what Jesus has done in our lives.

The Lexington Eagles Neighborhood League brings together youth from across Lexington to build teams that represent their communities and compete in weekly matchup, creating connections between communities and using soccer as a way to unite players from all parts of Lexington while introducing them to Jesus and teaching them to follow Him.

Each semester, the Lexington Eagles host Futsal and Penalty Kick tournaments for players of all ages, bringing kids and adults together for friendly competition, unique awards, and an opportunity to build relationships. Through these events, we create a fun and welcoming environment where participants can enjoy the game while being introduced to Jesus and hearing about the hope we have in Him.
